Well, here’s something I didn’t expect. No, not the fact that some degenerate took a video through a hotel room peephole of naked ESPN sports reporter Erin Andrews and then posted the video on the internet. (There is a report now that the video may have been shot by a fellow ESPN employee.) And not the fact that the video became the most popular internet search over last weekend. After all, the amount of attention by the internet sports sites and sports talk shows to Erin Andrews over the past few years has been extraordinarily high. Also, I’m not surprised that sports writers and talkers have called the taking of the video a crime and said that the perpetrator should be prosecuted.
What I didn’t expect was that a male internet sports writer would write a column that totally trashed male sports fans and males in general. Gregg Doyel, a sports writer for CBSSsports.com wrote this article. You should take a look at it. Of course it’s very possible that he only wrote it to get some attention, but, even if he did, it’s still remarkable.
